SNORKELLING TRIPS
Pick up your complimentary snorkelling equipment from the dive centre and find out the best snorkelling spots around and outside of the island. Join any of our daily snorkelling trips: House Reef Snorkelling, Night Snorkelling, Snorkelling Extravaganza, or Turtle Quest. Set off on an adventure on board the traditional Maldivian dhoni or a private speedboat. Explore the vibrant coral reefs and see colourful reef fish, turtles, stingrays, and sometimes a baby shark. There is plenty to discover underwater, so be sure not to miss out on this exciting adventure!
DOLPHIN QUEST
Join us as we set out on an adventure quest to look for frolicsome dolphins. Since they are wild marine creatures out in the vast ocean, we cannot guarantee their sightings. But our team knows where to find them, and once you do, you will be captivated by their playful manner. Watch them swim side by side; sometimes they even jump and spin out of the water. SUNSET CRUISE
Cap off your day with a relaxing and romantic sunset cruise on board a traditional dhoni. Feel the sea breeze on your skin as you slowly cruise the calm sea. Traditional Sunset Fishing
Try and learn to catch a fish using the traditional method of fishing in the Maldives. The art of line fishing has been practised for many years now, both by the older and younger generations. Join us for a sunset fishing trip and let our knowledgeable guides teach you how to catch a fish without a fishing rod. Once back on the island, enjoy your fresh catch of the day and share it with family and friends. Ask the chef in the restaurant to prepare your catch any way you want it for a supplement.
BIG GAME FISHING
For a more exciting fishing excursion, rise and shine at the break of dawn for a big game fishing trip. Our knowledgeable captain and crew will take you to a location where you can catch big tuna, marlin, wahoo, or swordfish. Our powerful big game fishing boat is designed and equipped to accommodate big game fishing enthusiasts. So bring your A-game and feel the thrill of reeling in your big catch of the day. The best part is, you can bring back your fresh catch and have it prepared in the restaurant for a supplement.
LOCAL ISLAND VISIT
Experience another side of the Maldives by visiting one of the neighbouring islands. See colourful Maldivian houses, small souvenir shops, and a village mosque. Stroll down the sandy streets and take a peek at what local island life is all about. If you are interested in marine life conservation, visit the turtle rehabilitation centre on one of the local islands and learn how the volunteers rescue, rehabilitate, and reintroduce the turtles back into the wild. On this excursion, you will discover the laid-back pace of island life, where Maldivians live a simple and often traditional life, a world away from resort life.
Coral Ranger Program
Best Dives Maldives is breathing life back into its house reef through a dedicated coral regeneration project. By replanting fragments damaged by bleaching, the initiative has already transformed small starts into thriving colonies. SEMI SUBMARINE
Bring the whole family and discover what’s beneath this beautiful island without even dipping your toes into the water. The semi submarine excursion allows you to get a closer look at the unique marine life around the island, you might even see some dolphins if you’re lucky. The upper body of the semi submarine remains above the sea surface at all times, while the bottom part is 1.3 metres below, and, through large windows in the underwater hull, you get to enjoy spectacular views of the underwater ecosystem, thus creating the illusion of a real submarine dive. This is the only vessel where you sit below the sea surface and feel like you are diving.
MALE CITY VISIT
Come and experience another side of the Maldives in the buzzing capital city of Malé. Discover local culture, historic landmarks, and everyday city life. Highlights include the 17th‑century Old Friday Mosque carved from coral stone, the golden‑domed Grand Friday Mosque and Islamic Centre, the National Museum, and presidential residences. Visit the lively fish market filled with tuna and reef fish, and nearby produce markets offering breadfruit, jackfruit, and traditional coconut sweets like addubondhi. End your tour with a relaxing break at a traditional Maldivian tea shop alongside local residents.
